Magneto Movies
Reel Reviews
this post is just to give a heads up on the new format of my movie reviews. This new format will divide the main body section of the reviews while keeping the information bits intact. So this review will be divided to make it easy for me to calculate the final score as well as easily distinguish each part of the film. It's also easy for you (the reader) to find which piece of a movie you are interested in and read the mini review (example if you are a performance based viewer, you can read about the performances in the particular movies review). So here are the changes;
Story: This will detail the basic plot of the movie without spoilers, from here onwards the other parts will include mild spoilers!!! I will also review the story itself including the script as well as key scenes and the dialogues.
Direction: In this section of the main review, I will review the directors work as well as the cinematography, casting and production of the feature film.
Performances: The central piece of my review, I will includes comments on each main actor including a lengthier piece on the best performer.
Score: This will detail the background score in the film including sound effects (mostly for animation), for Bollywood films there will also be a rating of the soundtrack as well as there placing within the film.
Source: Let's face it, these days most movies are sequels, prequels, book/comic adaptations or remakes. Originality has lost it's value. So this part will review how good the movie adapts from it's source or works better than it's prequel or sequel. If any movie is original, it essentially receives a ten pointer in this category. The adaptation also does not have to be perfect, if there are changes made for the better than the flick also receives a higher score.
Each of these categories will be given a score out of 10, then tallying the score and dividing by the number of categories; the final score of the movie will be produced. There will also be other little enhancements, that I will not detail here. This will be a surprise for my readers (actually I am to lazy to type).
