This week saw the mega-star Robert Downey Jr. celebrating his 48th birthday, the Iron Man is still going strong. On April 4th RDJ celebrated his birthday and I would like to wish him a belated Happy Birthday. So this weeks Pop culture edition is dedicated to the one and only, Iron Man;

So you know Robert Downey Jr has had substance abuse problems, but did you know these problems started at the age of six! It's a sad fact, but eventually the man's iron (pun intended) like fortitude caused him to reassess his life. The man got a second chance and has made the best of it.
Robert Donwey Jr is an ex-member of long running comedy skit show; Saturday Night Live. He is also the only member to have been nominated for the Best Actor award at the Oscars.
Downey has actually portrayed comedy icon Charlie Chaplin on screen, this prompted him to also buy out Chaplin's house in 1998 after the film.
RDJ is a talented man, having released a album as well called The Futurist.

Paul Avery in Zodiac- After having gone through a rough time, you use that experience to your advantage in showing how much you know about those bad places you have been in.
Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock Holmes- A genius with some mental issues. You have a habit of dressing up in costumes especially at time cross-dressing. People get black eyes once they tend to forget that you can punch as hard as you can think.
Harry Lockhart in Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang- Your an out of luck and out of work loser. Surprisingly you can't zing as well as you thought, or maybe its just the script that makes 'Gay' Perry funnier than you.
Charlie Chaplin in Chaplin- You have a taste of classic comedy and most likely just annoy people without making a sound. Though in this case you really love the dramatic layers beneath the comedy.
Kirk Lazarus in Tropic Thunder- You're the dude playing the dude, disguised as another dude.
Tony Stark/Iron Man in Iron Man- You're Iron Man. Ha! You wish!

Okay so this isn't Iron Man or Robert Downey Jr. fully. But the Avengers is related to the popular actor. So here are two Photoshop posters I created for the next Avengers movie which I dubbed Avengers: Thanos Quest (but you already knew that).
These posters were simply created. For the first one took an image of Thanos and increased its size so as to just place his face with one eye witnessing space. The main objective was to use the blending options to create effects for the titles of the movie. I will explain this in detail through my art gallery post (If you haven't seen my first one for Liam Neeson in The Grey, check it here).
The second had the same objective, just this time I changed the poster with focus on the big 4 of The Avengers.
